About
My name is Robin, and I go by ovrtphotos.
I started nearly 10 years ago with a Canon T3i I picked up off Craigslist, originally for YouTube.
That quickly shifted into photography, and I haven’t looked back.
Today I shoot on a Fujifilm X-T5 for digital photography and my Nikon F for 35mm film, although I do enjoy collecting film cameras as well, so who knows what you'll see me with.
My second passion is building and modifying cars. This is something I didn't have the chance to experience much as I was younger, but I was always interested in the culture. The infamous JDM cultures such as Kanjo racers, Mid Night Club, and Touge teams inspired my automotive photography style with their overt self-expression and willingness to bend creative normality. Now, I fortunately have the opportunity to live in a little slice of it and document others passions and projects.
Later in my photography journey, I began to develop an interest in other forms of photography, such as street, portraits, and landscapes. Much of this inspiration stemmed from famous photographers like Joel Meyerowitz and William Eggleston, while modern day content creators have helped guide me tremendously as well.
My current personal pursuit is delving further into portraiture and building a completed physical body of work.
